Naturopathic doctors are experts in natural medicine. We work from a conventional understanding of the body, but in our treatment, we utilize diet, lifestyle changes, supplements, herbs, homeopathy and other natural therapies. My aim as a naturopathic doctor is always on helping patient achieve true health and wellness, and not just temporary relief from symptoms.

Naturopathic doctors attend accredited four-year naturopathic medical programs. In accredited programs, students learn the basic medical sciences (e.g. anatomy, biochemistry), as well as clinical sciences (e.g. cardiology, gastroenterology) and courses in natural therapeutics (e.g. herbal medicine, homeopathy, diet, exercise). While in school, students take part in clinical rotations, where they learn to diagnose and treat patients under the supervision of attending physicians. Additionally, licensed naturopathic doctors go through two rounds of national board exams – basic sciences and clinical sciences.
